About Charlie Bovalino

Meet Charlie Bovalino and learn about his passion for Box and Ironbark timbers He also provides secure vehicle storage in the Maryborough Flour Mill.

Charlie's background is in timber milling and furniture making. He spent more than 30 years working with Box and Ironbark timbers. Charlie turned his interest to making fine furniture from the timbers he collected over his lifetime.

Charlie purchased the Maryborough Flour Mill in 1997 to make and display the furniture he made. In recent years,Charlie stopped making furniture to manage his rare store of furniture timbers . These are valued by furniture makers around around Australia and the world.

The range of timbers available include yellow box, grey box, red ironbark, sugar gum, river redgum, yellow gum, plus Australian Red Cedar. Charlie has limited supplies of each timber type, and once it's gone - it's gone forever.

The timbers are in very limited and scarce supply. Each piece of timber is unique with its own special characters. Any furniture made  from Charlie's rare timbers is a unique product, increasingin in value each year. The furniture timbers are of such high quality that no staining is required. The natural colour of the timbers determine the  piece. All you have to do is decide if you want red, straw, brown,yellow or other colour in the timber.

Charlie Bovalino has two locations where the furniture timber is available from. The main storage centre is based at the Maryborough Flour Mill and the other site is in Bendigo.
